The 2,363 acre Howard Buford Recreation Area is the largest park in Lane County, Oregon and very close to Eugene and Springfield. The park’s dominant physical feature is Mt. Pisgah with a summit that rises over 1000 feet above the Willamette River’s Coast and Middle forks, which flow around it’s base. There are over 17 miles of trails. I have enjoyed hiking these trails and below are some of the photos I’ve taken over the years. All of the photos were taken with a camera converted to take infrared photos.
